I went to plug my batteries into the ESC and a green lights on and the servo works but I hear no beeps and the car won't do anything. What could this be?

This problem seems diff than any of the problems that I have had in the past with Arrma ESCS The green light will just go slow without any noise but you will get a clicking popping noise by the battery connector. I have put different connectors on the ESC and I get the same thing. I hooked a different ESC up to the motor and the motor works. Also the servo is working in the car. I wonder if the ESC is just fried.
