The 1721 1260kv would be okay in the Kraton 8S. Not great though. That heavy truck really benefits from the torque of a 56mm diameter motor.

All I can say is stay with the combination you have now play with pinion gears 18 I think is way too small tell you get comfortable with that setup
A very good all around combinations for me is 1717 mmx8

MMX8s with 1717 combo is in my Infraction, absolutely love it. I think that's about as big as you can fit with stock infraction motor mount and no trimming. Hobbywing Max6 v3 G1 4985 also fits but it's my understanding the Max6 G2 4990 does not fit without modification.

The 2028-1700Kv motor is available to those that are ready to take their extreme speed setups to the next level. With the success of the 1721-2400kv we went even bigger. With a larger diameter and length, it handles more power/wattage. This allows more torque and speed potential. It will just need to be geared differently as the kv is lower.

That one can be a bit of a pain to fit, check out this thread for more info. Need aftermarket motor mount at the least, might need to flip mount around and ditch battery tray depending on which mount you get.

Nah it’ll fit easily in a V2. Just need the $20 56mm motor plate. You’re probably thinking the Limitless V1.

That will not fit in the Limitless w/o flipping the motor mount around and talking a battery tray out. Since you have a V2 it should work, it will be tight.

Well, I ordered a Hobbywing Max5 HV G2 and a 4990 1650KV G2 motor. With tax and shipping it was $330. My plan is to shoot for anything over a 100mph on 6S an in time move to 8S.
