Arrma RC's
  1. BigRock 4x4
  2. Outcast EXB
  3. Senton 3s
Hey Bashers! I am building a 4S Senton. Starting with my son's V3. I could use a little help. I am upgrading the diffs with HR steel gears redoing the slipper clutch and driveshafts. And beefing everything up around the chassis. (Build parts list below).
My questions are:
1. 4S Motor ESC combo? Say what you want I like spektrum so far. Looking at the 130A esc Spektrum - SPMXSE1130 with either the Spektrum - SPMXSM1000 3150KV 4pole (which I think is the same as Stock?) or the Arrma BLX 3668 2400KV motor. This is my sons truck so he will probably run 3S most of the time but, I would like the option to run 4S. Even if i gear it down a little. Thoughts???

2. I have a lot of slop in the steering and rod ends. Any good ideas on metal replacements?

3. Recommendations on a starting point for shock and diff oil weights?

Thanks for any advice! More pictures to come with updates when assembling.

Here is my build list so far.

That's quite the overhaul. I can't comment on everything, but i personally changed out the links entirely. You can get a take-off from Jenny's from the slash or rustler I believe and they are very durable. You'll also want to find a replacement for the short stubby link off the servo saver as that's where alot of the steering slop comes from. I have that 130a firma ESC in a few vehicles including my Tekno MT410 running on 4s and it's a great ESC and should run cool. For longevity, the 3668 motor will likely be the better choice. If you are running on 3s mostly I would probably gear around 23t-24t (should be back to around stock speeds on 3s) and then when running on 4s, anything on top of that will be gravy.

I’d say 2400kv and gpm makes some decent parts for tie rods I have this set on my typhon 3s

A lot of gpm is junk but there different tie rods are decent
Sweet. I had looked at these and seen mixed reviews, but seem like a decent option. Can I ask why the 2400KV?

Cool, thanks for the advice! I will check it out. I was looking at the HR or GPM Aluminum bell crank set and the servo link. It is an extensive build and expensive, but why not!?

Regarding the slop in Steering & Suspensions on (All) the 3S line.. it's part of their design, Fortunately, most of slop can be eliminated by using these stainless steel washers ($11) >

I use the M3 , M4 washers wherever necessary to shim up the sloppiness.

Simple AND Effective solution, especially when you know you're going to bash it hard.

Thanks! I will check it out.

I am trying to put a wing on this thing... The Arrma mounts that attach to the body post are to close to the back of the truck and really not tall enough. Anyone make or modify something to do this??
