I'm going to be switching out some connections from a 185 torox from dual trx to single ec5. ive been looking into it youtube ect, braiding and solder is si.ple and I'm confident I can do it fine put I heard alot about solid crimp conection is actually better as solder resistance vs copper to copper crimp what do the the og rcers say thanks in advance

I would just cut off the TRX stuff and solder a new EC5 or IC5 connector. Of the two options you list I would solder them together.

I've got 1 thing with crimped ec5 and the wires have broke almost clean through right behind the crimp.
As a mechanic this doesn't make since to me. But in all my time I've never had a soldered one do this.
I plan to stick to soldered joints 🤷‍♂️
