So I was bored and “transferred” my Typhon V4 onto a Kraton 6s chassis.. I put Limitless shocks on the front with the low Alza shock tower, but for a couple reasons kept the stock Typhon rear shocks that are way too soft now to use for speedrunning. Or, to use the proper terminology, the springs are too “fast”.. I changed out the shock oil to 800wt. and it helped, but I still need new springs. I’ll search for it today but I’m kind of lazy, so offhand does anyone know a part number for stiffer rear Typhon V4 springs?
On a separate note, the cut down Limitless body fits great on my “Kraphon”, all it needs is a taller front body post and some trimming of the body in a few areas. It wasn’t my idea to use this body, full credit for this goes to Raz Shifrin, he did this on one of his builds and it looked like a great idea, so I “borrowed” it for mine. Also added a few elements to the rear wing for added stability, hope it works

My suggestion would be to go with

AR330507 (Kraton/Outcast front springs)

@Notoriousone my solution for my Typhon speed runner was to use "Hot Racing Nero Black" springs (part n#NRO6509).

They're thicker, stronger and have a spring rate of 12.65lb/in compared with 3.17lb/in of the standard Arrma rear springs.

If they're not stiff enough then you can go more extreme as the do have several other rated springs in that range.

Great thanks for all the replies guys, always nice to have input from those that did what I’m trying to do.. Turns out I already have a set of the rear big rock springs from a different build that I never quite finished, so those will come in handy now. The Hot racing black springs look nice, I’ll order up a pair of those to try also. I could have gone with a low shock tower and Limitless shocks in the rear of the Typhon, but I wanted to keep the stock rear wing and it’s mounting bracket, and a low tower wouldn’t accommodate that. Also, since the Limitless body covers up the entire rear shock tower area, I didn’t need to have it low down for aero reasons either. Since I took those pics, I moved the receiver to the back of the rear wing support to make room in the front for the cappack, and also to get the antenna up higher as well. This virus lockdown has given me time to build, I have revised the layout of most of my cars a few times by now lol

I also run the K6S/OC6S/Noto springs on my K4S and Typhon 6S builds. The Typhon 6S springs are way too soft for any rig of this size. I can’t imagine how someone runs them.
