Typhon Typhon 3s bought a 4s battery

I've been seeing guys run 4s batteries in their typhon 3s. I bought a Spektrum 4s 14.8v 5000mah battery. When I plug the battery in and turn on the radio the only thing that works is the steering servo. If I put my 3s back in everything works fine. Is there something I need to change on the esc? And if so How? Thanks for the help!!

I didn’t know a 4s battery would work to be honest. I wouldn’t want to put one in my 3S vehicle. Are you sure that those guys who did put in a 4s battery didn’t upgrade their electronics first?

The ESC won't arm. It won't work.

The stock ESC and motor only supports 2s or 3s. If you want to run 4s you need to replace both of them.

Forget 4S, you should go 6S. Go big or go home.
