Vorteks Vorteks 3s. 14t to 20t change out

Hi, last night after much fiddling I changed on my Vorteks 3s the stock 14t to the 22t. I think it’s faster .. should it be or would the 14t be faster .. also the clip on top the gear was so hard to take off it broke so it’s not on the new one. All seems ok so far.

Yes it should be much faster. It may also overheat now.

Welcome to the forum. Get a temp gun. A good recommendation for bashing is to go up about 2 teeth at a time on the pinion. That’s a noticeable difference in speed, but as mentioned above, comes with more heat. Don’t roast your motor, man.

I think I cooked up anyway sooo it started on 18t and now gone to 20t, and flies and seems to not overheat
