The throttle dead band was at 1000 ma
I moved it to .0500 as she’s a lil sluggish from a get go !!

Moved start power from low to “medium “
Have lockers all the way around
GP6 rear
GP5 front
I forget tooth count on center ???

But I ain’t changing diff fluids !!!!

Im going to do something similar, but slightly different. I’m going to do dual 4990’s in reverse rotations of each other, each driving their own set of axles. That way I can control power output to the front and rear from my controller. Should make for fun drifting!

The “big can” TP’s are 6-pole motors. Most others are 4-pole.

How do you like the locked front diff? That’s the only one I haven’t locked.
I have yet to flog it with the spool on the front ….

Just test drove for about 5 mins yesterday to find out my last bash session destroyed servo and an outer front wheel bearing (ceramic) ….

I did drive it and she turns just fine with lockers all the way around…. Like can’t even tell diffs are not installed.

However I must have been pretty rough on her last outing!

For some reason she’s clogging in reverse?
Like motor is trying to go but mesh is to tight not sure what happened there .,,
Plus….. I seem to be loosing comms with receiver as I can only get her bout 25 ft from me and I lose radios control ….

I’ll order another servo …..
Adjust gear mesh
Re bind , re calibrate …

And then destroy it again !!! 😀😀😃
I should have played with the xlx2 long ago via castle link ….
As moving punch level from “disabled” to 10% helped dramatically on the low end …
As well as start power from 0 to 10 helped in getting her moving ….

I’ll be back !!!!
and she may still go up on classifieds one day as if rather see my boys ride moto than me spend money on tires !!!! 🛞 😀😀
 
Calibrated and rebind ….

Made world of difference……
I could only run it on 75% and she was GETTING IT !!!
Then …… She became front wheel drive only
So something like set screw or whatever came loose in rear locker
I’m not going to use fuggin set screws anymore!!!

I’m going to weld those bitchis

For anyone worried about not being able to use lockers front rear and center due to concerns of not being able to turn or whatever….
I can say
With first hand experience I see no difference in turning with lockers vs diffs …..

My plan will work
Just need to beef up the spools by either welding them and or drilling thru pinion to be able to pin and weld ….
Probably just gonna weld em !!!!!

I just ordered a set of the flat-bottomed Perfect Pass a-arms for my next build. They just came back in stock yesterday.
I hope they’re as good as his video makes them look. We’ll see. He’s really bragging about the tolerances in them. The design itself seems to be a better mousetrap. The price is better than I expected for sure. It’s going to take a lot to sway me away from Vitavon, but I’m giving them a shot.

For the life of me I could not keep set screws tight on the thru shaft
Blue locktite
Red locktite
Green locktite
Didn’t matter

If put it together
Take it on test run and it would spin set screws off the flats !!!
I thru them in a box somewhere and will be using the lockers I got from the @joshludden
