Will Spektrum telemetry work on any other brand motor?

Hi there, 1st of all im sorry if this questions is been repeated. Im new to the Spektrum thingy. I have a Dx5 rugged with the SR6100AT Receiver and Spektrum Smart ESC and Spektrum motor. The question is will i still get telemetry if i change my motor to another brand like castle or hobbywing. Just to take note its not sensored so its the usual 3 colored wired connections.
Likewise for example if i use a non smart Spektrum batteries i will get voltage as a whole pack but if i uses a smart battery i will get full telemetry per cell voltage etc...
Hopefully someone care to share the info i need regarding using other brand motor for the spektrum. TIA

I’m not familiar with Spektrum telemetry but I don’t think there would be a problem. Your system has no idea what motor is plugged in.

I run Hobbystar/Rocket motors with Telemetry, the ESC is the dictator.
