I soldered mine together into a single JST plug. I used heat shrink tubing to cover the solder joints.

I have a normal splitter on my outcast though. I bought those to have on hand for other stuff, got one in my erevo and one in my savage flux.

You can get creative and use the fan port on the esc. Then you can replace fans as needed without opening the stupid receiver box. I only have a cooler with one large fan, so I use a splitter off the fan port and plug the esc and motor fan into it.

That would work without soldering anything. Just make sure to bundle the wires tightly and ziptie them so they don't pop apart. I usually make a tight bundle ziptied, then I ziptie the bundle to a motor wire so it doesn't flop around.
