I saw this one the other night. The idea was good, but he underestimated how much power this boat will need to get up on top of the water.
I'd imagine it needs 20-40 HP on the low side estimation.

I have thought about such a project, but we have nowhere to store a big boat.

Wouldn't you just disassemble it like Legos ,once you're done ripping it across the lake?
