I’m confused as in how this happened the motor was Luke warm both the motor and esc wire got so hot that it melted the solder.

Cold solder joint from the factory can do that all day long. Resolder a new bullet on and go play.

Always clean the tip good before each joint to be solded.

Looks like a bad connection, resistance makes heat, heat melts solder.. the male connector can be spread open with a razor blade... pull the ends apart and take a picture.. a dirty, loose connection will cause this quick..
