Brand new RPM bumper on the front and the older RPM bumper moved to the rear. Also a custom rear body post support was designed, printed, and installed.

Cool build! Whose aluminum bulkheads were those? I was looking through the thread but couldn’t find where you’d mentioned it.

My xmaxxy got treated with vitavon. The notorious has all gpm bulks/hinge pin/chassis braces. I am surprised though for the money they seem like quality parts.

Yeah, I only do Vitavon on my “premium” builds. I too have had good luck with the GPM stuff. I’ve never tried their bulkheads, but after watching your video it was impressive how good their tolerances were and that they didn’t even require shimming. Plus, they’re almost 1/2 the price of the Vitavons. I saw that Treal has their stuff out now, but I’m waiting on more feedback to come in before I try them. They’re known for good stuff, but they’re really new to the Arrma line.

I think the CF, especially the towers, is a bit of a bold move for a high flying stunt truck. But I’ve never really developed my in-air control very much and specialize in mostly horrible landings. I’m pretty sure I’d be snapping expensive carbon towers rather frequently. Looking forward to watching your build!
I have CF shock towers and Ackerman on my K6 and I send that thing as hard and high as I possibly can and NO issues. I'm still kinda new so i don't totally know what to expect but I don't hold back. Also just ordered some more shock towers, Ackerman, top plate along with tower to tower brace and mud guards from BQ for a build I'm about to start. Am I supposed to be careful with CF??

In the past I had always heard to avoid CF towers because they could snap on hard roof landings, whereas HD aluminum towers would only bend. But a lot of people here have since said they’ve experienced no reliability issues at all in really hard bashing with carbon towers. I think @nomis38 has sold me on the idea, and I’ll be trying some out when my NOTO gets a rebuild. I’ve always wanted to save on the weight, but have always been too apprehensive.

You can get the basher-queen 6 piece set for $70, but I've bought from this guy "link below" before and his CF is top notch so i went the $50 route for the 6 piece set.

My felony 6 piece set was only $35.99 though him

Saw that CF on ebay but didn't know if was a legit product. Now that you have vouched for it I'll give it shot next time I get some. Spent $250 on BQ's store but I know she makes quality stuff. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nice Build!

Me too. Virtually all of my carbon, minus chassis, are BQ. I’ve always felt good about supporting her business and she makes top-notch components. Customer service and response to custom orders have always been fantastic.

Dude...she literally shipped that order within a couple hours! I know cause I sell on ebay, the label was created and dropped off at the PO 2 hours after I placed the order. 👍🏼

I do agree basher-queen is prolly the best way to go. I've not used her before but she is active on forums and I do see her service is really good!!! Her service reminds me of Spirit Systems FBL, top notch product and service, and super active on the Helifreak. It's the only Flybarless Unit I'll use anymore.

Yeah I was kind of dumb-founded about the shim thing, crushed shims over and over then gave up and assembled it and was like omg I don't need shims. hahaha.

The xmaxx I was blowing them cheap metal diff ring/pinions almost every time out. Swapped out to Vitavon upper bulks, and coupled with the aluminum front bulk cover and the Chinese spiral cut diff ring/pinion the diffs last prolly 50 times as long now, The last time I rebuild them they made noise but still had all their teeth, grears were just kinda sharp, but that was when the Vitavon uppers got installed, im assuming now ill never have to mess with diffs.
