ARRMA-Senton-BLX-SCT-Review-3.jpg

Came across a review on the Arrma Senton short course truck and the review seems to speak pretty highly of the Senton. Overall they gave it a B with it's two lowest rating being a C due to handling and parts availability.

Check out the Senton review here, http://www.bigsquidrc.com/arrma-senton-blx-review/

That article helped me decide to pull the trigger on the Senton. Aside from just wanting a SCT, the thing I found attractive about the 1/8 guts in a 1/10 chassis is that there isn't as much mass to move around as with the full 1/8 vehicles, which theoretically would be easier on the powertrain. With all that I've read about the durability of the Senton, I was willing to sacrifice immediate parts availability in favor of not breaking in the first place. Now if I can just get some time to run a pack or two through it...

I just picked up an Arrma Senton and am wondering if there has been any progress on parts availability? The thought of not being able to get common parts has me a tiny bit worried now.

Welcome to ArrmaForum @Doozie!

The Arrma Senton is a pretty popular model and finding Senton parts here should be fairly easy. You'll also find places like Tower Hobbies and AMainHobbies both carrying parts.

Also from what I read about the Senton before I bought mine, you probably won't be buying too many replacement parts as it's pretty sturdy.

Precisely the kind of RC I need in my possession, something virtually indestructible! :D

Lots of guys on from the FB Arrma group did. I was really tempted to get another but couldn't justify it in any way, shape, or form.

I just got mine in the mail late last week (I'm in Canada and they held it in customs for a couple days) Even with our weak canadian dollar, it was worth buying... and I've been loving it so far. I can get a couple parts for it at either of my lhs's so I'm not too concerned about that. Its only about 20F here this week, but even with the cooler weather, no broken parts in my first 3 full runs on 6s!

New here and excited to learn about this senton.

I did take advantage of the sweet deal on the senton, but I have not been able to run it yet. I plan on taking mine to the local track and now I'm on the lookout for new sets of tires. Any suggestions on what to get from anyone else using it at a dirt track?

I've heard badlands are good and beadlocks are ok with 4s only.

A set of Badlands or some Duratrax Lockups would both be a good fit. I'm running the Lockups currently and they get fantastic grip on basically everything. If you're racing for real then probably just ignore my advice, I'm pretty strictly a basher! :D

Thanks for the feedback. Any advice is good advice in my book.

I will look into those and maybe pick up a set.

Yep couldn't pass that deal up... I also recommend joining the tower hobbies club.... great deals... it may be that it's close to Christmas. Now they have a sweet deal on the Talion and you can use a black Friday cupon
