I've been having an issue with my big rock. It has happened a few times already, but the front and rear axles seem to come unscrewed at the stub somehow and it sends my wheels off with everything attached to it. I screwed them both back in after it happened and I put loctite on the screws.

But is there any reason that this is happening?
Should I take apart the others and loctite them as well?
Should I just look at getting some new axles?

The only modifications I have made to the car are as follows:
-17mm hex conversion
-18T pinion gear
-Metal spur gear

Wondering if anything that I did could be causing this issue.

I was already considering getting some of those GPM or RCAWD axles from eBay. As I have also had my axles pop apart a couple of times as well.

Thanks in advance.

The hex conversion and likely heavier tires will contribute to this, however, this happens stock as well.

I had to pull them off, clean, and freshly Loctite the threads to resolve it.

Happened to a friend 10min into his first run (new truck). Probably didn't have Loctite at all. Same, pulled it apart fresh blue Loctite, let it set. Wheel has stayed on so far after that.

Stock axles really are the best for the $.
