Arrma RC's
I'm looking for a smaller spur gear to put on my typhon so I can go bigger on the pinion. I know that the Team Durango 46T is on back order till at least the end of the summer( that's what a couple of companies told me). I've been looking at other ones that would be compatible with my typhon and no luck. I know some people have tried the the Integy spur gears but they have an inner diameter hole that is bigger then the Arrma spur so the drive cups would have a lot of play. If anyone knows of any other spur gears that would work or if they know where I can get a Team Durango 46T spur I would appreciate it. I'm looking for anything between 42 and 46 teeth.

I'll check with a friend. He has the Typhon stock motor, esc, hooked up to a Losi 8ight plastic/composite spur...it's very quiet.

In my granite I'm running a 27tooth pinion with a 76 tooth traxxas spur gear. I did have to swap out the rear diff and hi idle gears to traxxas and used the traxxas spur shaft. I find the traxxas diff is lots more reliable. And just seems smoother because of the finer teeth. Also traxxas parts are so easy to get locally for me and there metal not plastic which stripped very easily

I agree I hate plastic/composite spurs because of there durability especially with high voltage applications. I decided to just wait for the Team Durango 46T to come back in stock unless I just decide to make a locked spool for my typhon.

Sorry I have not been in touch with my friend yet, but I know he started with a Losi 8ight 3.0. and straight to a stock 185BLX Typhon motor/ESC. I hope to speak with him today and I'll ask for the gear details.
Yeah let me know if he found another option besides the plastic/composite spur I would appreciate it.

He said it is 15T and 43T, HTH
