From all my research it appears a dry silicone spray is the best way to protect my FT6S from corrosion / rust, lubricate moving parts while providing a barrier to make dirt/grime removal easier.

I hear great things about

Cow RC Moo-Slick Lube & Protectant.

Is there a cheaper alternative that's the same stuff or available on Amazon for free shipping?

I was looking at

Super Lube 91110 Aerosols Silicone, 11 oz

However, isn't this a wet spray not dry?

Hi

Do not overthink it...make the hobby fun. I gave Cows as an example and what I use. I'm a senior with no more children at home, etc, etc, so I have some cash to burn.

Get something like this, you will be fine:
https://www.amazon.com/Blaster-16-S...706&sprefix=blaster+silic,aps,101&sr=8-1&th=1

Cows last me a long time. You are not soaking the rig, just hitting bearings, joints, and any other pivot point after cleaning.

We all do not use the same products. Take in the comments and find what works for you (y)

Enjoy!

The Cows work pretty good. Huge can for the price. Just don't over spray too much. Little goes a long way. It does what it says. But too much & it leaves it a bit tacky feeling. But it does work.

After cleaning, I’m guilty of using WD-40 specialist silicone lubricant spray with smart straw, like seven dollars a can. I do apply dry lubricant to pillow balls, and gears and bearings, but this takes much more time and effort.

Is that blaster a dry or wet silicone spray? So you spray that on the dirt directly and no wiping or anything? That is amazing. It looks like new!

I would not spray the electronics directly. Some will get on it, but I spray round them with any silicone spray you use (y)

How does Superlube Silicone Spray compare to this Moo-Slick?

Is SuperLube a dry silicone spray?

Whats is the difference between a dry silicone spray and a regular silicone spray?

Does regular silicone spray collect dirt more than regular silicone spray?

Is one better for our needs than the other?

Definitely collects dirt.. I used it twice on my 1:1 roadrace car for the spherical rod ends that were throughout the suspension components I assembled it with.. Tried multiple “dry silicone” spray lubes before shelving all of them in favor of DuPont “Multi-Use” spray w/Non Stick Ceramic..
