I haven’t tried the ones with the antenna, do they have better range than the ones without.
I would assume so but ?‍♂️
The antenna less ones are good but I’ve lost signal a few times. Even short distances with an object like a mound/hill in the way.

Do you have the V1 or V2 version of the rx? I assume that the one with the antenna offers more range because I only see negative range feedback about the smaller one. This last couple receivers I bought are both V2 but not sure about the one that came in the radio package. I love the system though and plan to stick with it from now on. In time with this new protocol they'll get telemetry into a firmware update and then we'll be jammin.
I have a friend that will only use FlySky for his racing drones no matter what anyone else says or what else comes out. He swears by their protocol and seems to understand why everything works well. I offered to loan him my Taranis radio to try out while I'm on hiatus and he won't touch it. And he won't even look at any Spektrum flight products because of range issues.

Pretty sure they are the V2 antenna less rx’s they came with my tx. I haven’t tried the second one yet but I’m planning on putting it in my mini t as soon as I upgrade it to brushless. Now I need more rx’s for the rest of the fleet. Probably get one with an antenna just for comparison...

The tx has more features than I’ll ever need!!!
Also love the fact it’s metal instead of plastic like most radios.

Overall I love my NB4 ???

Do you guys know if the GT5 receivers work with the Noble? I just bought a GT5 but I hope to eventually upgrade to the noble and it would be nice if the receivers worked.

I think with the Noble they've introduced a new protocol and there's only a couple or three receivers that will work.
edit: much faster response protocol

Ah, ok. Thanks Crimson.

"Equipped with our newest RF technology, AFHDS 3, the NB4 is now the most flexible option for cars and boats. For extra low latency enable sports mode to have latency times as low as 3ms. "

Here's a chart but it doesn't include compatibility with the latest / Noble / AFHDS 3. It may help with your radio though.

Harbor Freight has a similar pluck and pick case too. So glad these are available now because Pelican used to be the only game in town.
If you have a Harbor Freight nearby you can get it for $30 tomorrow with the 25% off coupon.

Those pelicans are pimp but hella expensive!

Here's an impressive range test for the Noble. Not exactly sure what receiver though.

The husky one is cheaper but only one size. I may need that human sized case for the k8 when I can afford it lmao

Here's quickly what I learned today about FlySky NB4 Noble. ...radio that I love

~There's firmware available for even guys that bought the radio this year 2020. Notable improvements but too lazy to list. I haven't done it yet; still reading if it's worth it for me.

~There are a few new receivers. Including options like both of these from FlySky:
FGR4P new (can be broken down for micro-style 1:28 rx) whatever.

KY-MiniZRF3-Q600 newest Micro here and hard to find:

Very good info! Thanks for sharing bro! ?

That new FGR4P with the antenna works with the telemetry too. And it's very small which is cool. In the thread at rcgroups forum, one guy said FlySky emailed him and is releasing a gyro style rx soon and looking at their timeline, I bet it'll be within 6 weeks. lol Just hoping.
The Beaver RC YT channel guy shared a lot in that NB4 thread on rcgroups too.

Check my post back from October (#11 in this thread) where I talked about the "p" version. They didn't just come out, been out for several months and have been readily available on aliexpress. I ended up swapping the "s" version in my cars with the "p" due to the increased range.

FYI, you lose everything when you upgrade firmware. It's a pain to set back up if you have several models saved, but I'm a sucker for new features.

I read that at the rcgroups thread but don't mind it. I'll only update firmware if there's a feature I want and then it'll be worth it.
The p version is nice but I don't want antennas. If I end up with a need I'll get some. Still have two backup s versions that I like and two that I've been waiting five weeks for from Ali. I wish AliExpress made things "readily available" ? The first two took seven weeks to get here but I blame the Covid-1984 virus.
