Thanks!

Yeah, figured it doesn't cost much for the fan set up, so why not overkill it. ;)

Plus, as mentioned before, I tend to forget my temp gun when I bash away from home, so this is my fail-safe! :ROFLMAO:(y)🍻✌️
I need one of those fan setups! Drop the links for a newb please! 🤣
I need one of those fans! Got a link for me for the setup? And is the esc stock fan not good enough?

Morning Tybreezy! :D

The links are below. There's lots of options for fans, however these seem to work great for me. Not too pricey and easy to set up. You can use the Y adapter to hook em right into your receiver.

If it's for a Typhon, just make sure to not get the tall fans (too thick) and you will need to have the fans facing the side of the motor like my pic in order for the Typhon lid to fit. (y)

The stock esc fans are okay, but bigger is always better, especialky in the hot summers! Mine is attached with a 3d custom made esc 40mm fan bracket. This was created by @Tex Koder . He does some awesome work and is a great guy. Hit him up if you are interested in that.

Welcome aboard and Happy Bashing!! 😁 ✌️

Thanks a lot! Really appreciate the help! 🫱🏻‍🫲🏾😁

Skip a Heatsink altogether.
Spend the money on a lower profile Fan mount with quality fan(s). like 40mm x 10m fan(s). Be careful with taller fans , may not fit under the Typhon body, or the body will smother the fan's intake. Need at least 10+mm of body height clearance above the Fan(s).
Don't need a Heatsink. Fan(s) blowing directly at the motor is better. The motor's Can alone is a already a heatsink by design anyway.🤷‍♂️

Nice setup you have. Wondering what fan your running and if it comes with the metal safety gaurd on top?

Thank you

Fan "Finger" guards always come separately. I like these because they don't impede air flow at all. Fan's Static pressure is mantained. Just don't expect it to prevent Mulched grass and fine dirt from getting in. Best for larger debris, twigs and pebbles from direct hitting the Fan Blades. What destroys most fans. Depends how dirty the terrain is where you bash. I tried all the $Bling$ looking fan covers , CF ones, fine mesh etc. These clog up so quick and block air flow. Fan becomes useless barely cooling the motor. Heat control is far from optimum if you restrict the air flow.

Aluminum "framed" fans are found just about anywhere. It won't flex under hard impacts so they last longer.
A 40x40 x 20mm is taller . I like these also. Frame is much more rigid. The fan blades are deeper and longer and more durable with impacts. And the Fan's Frame doesn't flex like a 10mm tall plastic one would.

I like these 40 x 20mm fans best as of late. Slowly moving to these as my others fail. Not Plug and play. Just need to change over to a proper plug. Futaba style plug or equivalent. Quite durable and 28 CFM's, which is very strong as fans go for it's size using any standard BEC voltage at the Rx or ESC fan port.
2 of these with a double Fan mount and No HS is best. My motors are way cooler now. Just with my TLRT Typhon body being too low, these are too tall. I used one 40x10mm Aluminum Framed fan instead. ( using a single Fan Mount).
Some ideas.
