I always check my batteries out after every run and also the balance leads also. Those small wires can get damaged easily just by getting pushed up against the case. There's not a lot of protection for them.

I would never drive or commute with my E-bike on Salted roads. Period. You are begging for trouble.

Yeah those balance leads are always a liability. Broke one too many, been there.
I have to admit, that those Smart Lipos without bal. leads are the only major Plus about them.
