Kraton Kraton 6s exb with 8s power

Hey Everyone, I recently picked up this used Kraton 6s exb that is 8s capable with a hobbywing 5687 1100kv motor and max 6 esc.

I live in Texas and temps have been over 100 so I don't want to have overheating issues but still have a decent bash session. I have 2x 40mm fans installed on the motor and running at 7.4v.

What kind of gearing would be ideal for this setup? I currently have a 23T pinion with stock spur. I will likely only run it on 6s for now till I get used to all this power!

You will overheat on 6s with stock gearing in those temps.

Assuming stock kraton tires, a 29t pinion will get you to 60 mph. 23t will feel pretty damn slow and like gotnitro said, you will probably overheat with such a low pinion. Personally wouldn't do anything less than a 29t.

Well, was it worth it? I ask because my K6 overheats all 4092's and 1250kv Spektrum 4685's. No drivetrain binding, and no under or over-gearing. No top speeds...no room to. I have run it 6 and 8s. Overheats no matter what.
