I totally agree. And since the V3 is getting really old now, I'd want it for less than $500 (the original selling price).

good question- I probably should have asked something like:
Is there a price point that it makes more sense to buy one or the other? or maybe...if money wasn't a factor is one exponentially better than the other?
I have seen a couple of new in box V3's pop up on ebay over the past several months but didn't know at what point it was a good idea to buy/bid

V3's are going for $120 less in Canada,aside from the radio being a trow away, the v4 diffs are shimmed and have a better motor mount.
