Fireteam Max6 G2 or Max5 V3?

I’m not that smart
I’m looking for a esc for a 5th

Was wondering if I should go with Max5 v3 or Max6 G2

I noticed they’re both 200amps but Max6 has the thermal protection

Probably going to pair with a Spektrum 780kv

To clarify, this question is for 1/5 scale? You posted it under Fireteam in the 6S section.

The Max5 V3 will do a much better job dissipating heat than the smaller Max6 G2. The Max5 is way bigger.

The number in the ESC name conveys the vehicle scale it was designed to power.

The fact that you're putting it in a 1/5 truck eliminates every system that's smaller.

Either option will be better than a Firma 160 that motor was designed to be paired with. Depends on usage/application/gearing and how much flexibility you require in programming/logging.

Max5 V3 or MMX8S would work fine.

Max5 G2 or XLX2 would work better.
