Max 6 (1650kv) on Infraction

Hey Arrmaforum!

Im getting a new Infraction delivered in a few days and have a Max 6 Combo sitting around. I was wondering if anyone knows the speeds i could get on the combo with the 25T Pinion on 6s? Diffs will be all Stock.

(Most likely wont be going up to 8s, but if anyone knows the speed on 8s that would be much appreciated )

You’d have to get a lower KV motor to run 8s reliably. Some have gotten away with running 8s with the 1650, many others enjoy a smoke show.
Here is a great gearing calculator that can help with your setup. Subtract about 20% from the top speed for a real-world approximation.

This ^ the stock bearings in the 1650kv are only rated to about 40,000 rpms 6s is almost too much for them to handle. Trying to find high speed motor bearings in a 6x19x6mm is not an easy task, most of what I find are 30,000-40,000 rpm, unless you want to spend $50 on 2 of the Boca hybrid ceramic motor bearings.
