Dedicated support filament is expensive for what it does. So I’ve been reading articles on using PETG as support interface on PLA parts. I’ve been trying and trying but I’m not getting the results others have gotten. It isn’t a hardware issue, that I know.

In the middle of a print now but I’ll post pics soon with end results. In the meantime, can fellow enthusiasts share their thoughts on this?

Are you using a interface layer? Roof layer? What's the thickness? Pattern? Z gap? What exactly isn't working for you? It's fused? It's not a good looking layer?
