To reset the ESC to factory default settings connect a battery, turn the transmitter on and then turn the car on. Press and hold the set button for 4 seconds and release. The Red and Green lights will flash simultaneously to show you have reset. Switch the ESC off and factory reset is complete

Mine did the same after a couple runs but it was my servo, since your steerring works more than likely check the manual ans look up the esc codes. Factory data reset, also get a programer you can update the esc and allows to does some changes on the fly there only 30 bucks
