Just put the Spektrum 150a on my Typhon build, totally forgot what a mess the wiring is with the dual plug setup. Would it create any issues just cutting off the extra harness and soldering a single EC5 connector? I see there is an extra wire that lets it read data from Spektrum batteries but I don't use Spektrum batteries.

Just cut and cap the data wire as close to the ic5 as possible. This way if anyone wants to put it back they can.. if you pop the grey lid off you can just unsolder them from the terminals directly and not lose any wire length at all.
