With the stocker ESC, Amp cutting is a thing. Even crappy lipos will cause this.
Been there with hard speed running. Careful, major carnage can result.
Ordered the XLX2, i wonder....

The stocker ESC does have a speed wall. It is kind of limited if you really want to push it. Overheating is common.
The XLX2 is the best full on speed runner ESC . Just be critical/and careful how you install it. QS8 connectors at a minimum. If you abuse it, it will $fry$.

So this means i have to put new connectors on my battery wires?, (EC5 now).

If you want to run 8s for some serious speed runs. Tall gearing and all. You will need to solder connectors to your new XLX2 anyway. Does not come with any.. Just bare wire ends. The XLX2 is an expert level $ESC$. Use QS8's or 8mm sized Bullets, at a minimum.
Why not do it right, and do your lipo packs as well?
And... don't dare use any "lipo connector adapters". (n)
Obviously.;)
