My son & I Bash race on a track that is hard pack and does oatmeal up after a few batteries making for a wicked fast good time.
We both experience constant and damaged rims or tear away at the glue bead area due too tire carcass roll and dirt prying at the glued bead.
There is always dirt hard packed into the gap as glue fails or tire rubber tears/skuffs away.
Firm foam ( orange or blue ) indeed helped.

So ... are there bead lock or guard type 17mm hex rims that cater to buggy "Racing" where a typical Track style tire can still be mounted ?
We don't want Truggy diameter tires
requiring tires that slide some and not high center / trip & flip us.

I have looked for 6s capable beadlocks for a while. Nobody thinks they will hold up to bashing or racing.

Only the Vitavon clinchers seem to be tough enough. Maybe a custom widened version? But this all depends on your budget.

We're only running 3s in our gen 2 & 3rd generation 6s typhons. ( Both buggies are highly modified & finely track tuned )
We keep gearing so our max speeds are no greater than @ 35mph.
As such we really rip around the track at a blistering pace in full wheel spin and slide in nearly all the corners ( On & off camber )
