I wouldn't... I would probably stick with 2-3s with that ESC.
 
Many budget motors like that Surpass work fine or even great but I learned my lesson early on with cheap speed controls, they just aren't worth the savings they really do suck. Cogging, lack of features, programming nightmare, overrated, overheat, hesitation etc etc etc.

Hard to compete with a 120 amp sensored Quicrun that goes for less than $50 bones.
 
Thank you all. Can you use a non sensored motor on a sensored esc? If so where can I find this quicrun for that cheap. I didn't see one like that on Amazon
 
So I have changed my whole set up for my typhon 3s. I bought a new motor and esc. The motor is 4274 2200 kv and 100 esc. Both made by hobby wing. I took all your advice. What size pinion should I run it on?
