Here's some of my progress. I just got the body mounted. It's a JConcepts F2 SCT body. Still have to work on trimming with a dremel to smooth and shape the edges.

Lookin spiffy!
Thanks, man. Body didn't turn out as well as I anticipated, but it's okay. Had to even out the cut lines with a dremel. Foam sanding bits from a sand and polish kit. Really wears those down, but it's worth it. Used a diamond bit needle thin bit to shape the taillight area better. Not great, but, oh well. Messed up left taillight hole but should be covered with taillight bezel. Hopefully. Washed, scuffed inside, then washed again. Ready for taping. Got fluorescent orange Tamiya, and black. Blacked out windows, and the rest will be flat black. Rear fenders, middle of hood. 5 front lights in the middle. That's the plan.

Maybe it'll be ready for April's ARRMA of the month.

Tiring effort. Taped. Ready for Tamiya black. Wherever there is tape, will be fluorescent orange. The rest, excluding the windows will be scuffed and painted flat on the outside. Hopefully it will be enough orange.

Can’t wait to see it painted! It’s looking great so far, and I like where the colors are going.

Thanks! I really put some thought into it. I don't have an airbrush system, fancy tape or knowledge on fancy techniques, but I try. My K6 painted with Spaz Stix candy red backed with chrome was beautiful till I ruined it with body reinforcement. I've been thinking on shoe goo again, but with polyester cloth instead of the strips of drywall tape. Thinner and maybe more flexible. Maybe a coat of flex seal spray over it. The chrome with black backer is delicate. Fluorescent orange backed with white and a layer of flat clear should be more robust. Should resist bleed through from the shoe goo, flex seal combo. Hopefully. Then the lights.

Not finished. Protective film still on. Will rip that off and start taping off trim to make flat black another day. Sprayed in garage but has to dry in house. Not warm enough out there. Looks a little neon Halloween to me, but oh well 😅.

Wish I had more stickers! Like ARRMA FORUM stickers! ARRMA ones too. Plus a few type others, like maybe those Umbrella Corporation zombie ones, idk. MIP.

More of the same, but with no protective film. Two coats flat clear for trim. Thinking on this first sticker from a tire gauge. It's sunday, and should get two Senton 6s decals/stickers for the doors, along with two sheets of ARRMA decals, the JConcepts sheet, then whatever I have left in the hobby room...tomorrow.

Couldn't sleep and remembered this picture of the drill blanks I cut for the pins that went in the aluminum diff cups for this build. These shouldn't break. Side by side with stock ones.

Getting closer. Just got a set of Hoons for it. Parking lot runs. Silver compound. The wider ones.

Those were the best pix of matte clear I’ve seen yet. I keep looking for the real-world results of using it, and now I can actually see the result. I’ll be picking some up for sure. Thanks man, and awesome build. The finished pictures are epic!

Thank you, that means a lot! 👊

Another body. For bashing in the crud. Now for colors. Tamiya.

I usually run Pro-Line bodies , but last year for my new SC6.4 build I decided to try this body out . Good thing you got the 0222 part number because the 0222L is the race / lightweight version ( for racing every gram counts ) . Much thinner plastic and will not hold up as well for outdoor bashing . My friend got this body for his SC6.4 also but ordered the one you have , 0222 , and all done after painting , the 0222 body is 62 grams heavier . He was noticing how " tippy" his truck was vs. mine , tried my body and saw a notable difference . But this is for racing applications . The only thing I don't like about this body is the rear fender area is flat so I can't place the body down low on my truck therefore the rear tires will come up and hit it . The Pro-Line Flo-Tek has an arch where the tire can go up into .
I now have moved the body onto my Tekno SCT410sl and fits nice .

Pic of the 2 bodies….
