I don’t have a preference yet mate… it’s all quite new to me, but throughly enjoying it and would like to go brushlessIt also depends on what you personal preference is…as I made my mega senton into basically the 3s blx version using parts from Jenny’s
what it’s all about…search around the Forum & keep asking the questions, the answers will be found here or someone will point u in right directionI don’t have a preference yet mate… it’s all quite new to me, but throughly enjoying it and would like to go brushless
You can use what you have now..or upgrade your transmitter and receiver.Im gonig to do this upgrade too. Biggest question is esc and reciever are a single unit. Can i still use the receiver and my transmitter with a new motor and esc or do i need to get all new electronics and transmitter?
I need a new esc though, right? You can use what you have now..or upgrade your transmitter and receiver.
No you can't. The 2 in one esc is brushed only and the transmitter only works with the 2 in 1 unit. You can use what you have now..or upgrade your transmitter and receiver.
You will need all new electronics other than the servo but I would highly recommend that you upgrade that as well.I need a new esc though, right?
Ok, that makes sense. I saw you can run a different reciever with the 2 in 1 unit but didnt see how to run a different esc. I assume i can pair my current transmitter to a new receiver easily if i run spektrum electronics. Or is there an issue with that too.No you can't. Oh I did not know that. I thought the receiver and the transmitter would work on a brushless motor and ESC..thanks for pointing that out. @slick2500Ok, that makes sense. Nah he has the Boost with this thing https://www.arrma-rc.com/en/product/40-amp-brushed-2-in-1-esc-and-slt-receiver/SPMXSE2140RX.html and I was wrong the stock transmitter can be used with other SLT receivers.Oh I did not know that. Ok so he can use the same transmitter but not the same receiver ?I am pretty sure you cannot run a different receiver with the 2 in 1 unit, if you can that would be a first from any 2 in 1 unit. The transmitter will only work with SLT receivers such as the Spektrum SLR300, Tactic TR325 or Tactic TR326. As far as motor and esc go they do not have to be Spektrum you can go with any brand you want but I would get something with at least 100 amps and a 3660 sized brushless motor in the 3000-3300kv range, the eBay cheapo motors work very well considering what they cost, the eBay cheapo Surpass/Rocket/Allstar Racing whatever name they are going by this month escs are notorious for being junk so I would avoid those.
That being said the stock 3s motor and esc work great https://jennysrc.com/products/arrma...-typhon-ara4303v3?_pos=1&_sid=ee9968c00&_ss=r

You will also need to source a 5mm shaft 48p pinion as your current pinion is a 1/8" shaft.
This motor will allow you to keep your stock pinion https://www.ebay.com/itm/175369398955?hash=item28d4d4aaab:g20AAOSwUoNi52lJ&amdata=enc:AQAHAAAAoKE4SX4DSCCjHs0rR/8a9Kn7yNdUQv9iVTZcj0y1AZpnRpwNkSFbQ8Ai3fqqGTZtTRINL5iwbV2UNO8N7L2kvrlrFNVfwF6StA4Pe5yUI8bCchL8BZb/Akg1GG9JXPPiLweKuiBV/oZ10cSxYoJy4Xh02Y0ymrP12S7GyIqYp22m322sqOyNULbsELs2g4hDTta1QM+Y45k5xOEgPT67bVQ=|tkp:Bk9SR5jyh5XFYQ

Yeah, surprisingly they made the transmitter SLT compatible instead of it being tied to the 2 in 1 esc like pretty much every 2 in 1 esc made.Ok so he can use the same transmitter but not the same receiver ?
Nvm got it.
It will work but I would not run it on 3s you want a 100a esc and a 3660 sized motor that is 80a and a 3650.Ok. So to be clear i can use the stock radio just need a new reciever thats slt compatable. Im looking at this motor and esc combo. Any input?
