What's the risk in running a 1721 on 3S?

Starting out slow (~80mph) on 3S and working my way up.

Castle rates the motor for 4S-8S voltage. I imagine 3S will drive current higher and is more likely to burn up the motor.

My question is - how likely is that to happen? Do you think it'd survive 3S on speeds under 100mph?

Have no fear my friend. I pushed a 1721 all the way to 129mph on 3s in an infraction gt
The motor can handle it. Make sure your lipos can
Thank you. And good work! I love how excited you got when you saw the 128. I’m sure a lot of work went into that.

Thanks man, I get a little excited sometimes 😆

I even ran it on 2s up to 106mph but that is very roughl on Lipos. 1721 has long legs so once you really start pushing hard, try to get 5sec of full trigger. 3s is blast to speedrun on

should be no risk at all. I shakedown cars on low voltage all the time. 1721 was used in the 3s challenge by myself also.
