Ok, I can get down with that! Wanting that high torque get and go passing gear so to say! ?

Ah damn, The Posiedon motor is discontinued now upon double checking! o_O Damn, beast of motor. Looks like the next best option from them are a couple of 1500kv motors, both 8S capable.

For the fun 0 - 90 after you decide on the motor will be gearing ratio, figure out what keep the temps safe for the length of the battery and gives you that driving experience you're looking for! ?

In all this excitement, I was in a rush to go run and stripped the pinion grub!! Shiiiiiiit. I have NO tools to remedy my dilemma..looks like I'm bashing with the 27t until I can get that grub out..lets see how good those tornado fans are!! Haha...

Oh what a shotty issue... I stripped out a grub screw the other day prior to putting it on the motor. Not so the grub screw itself, but I don't think it was threaded correctly where the grub screw goes, so I think I cross threaded them together, Ain't no getting them apart either, in the trash it went. It was a stock 27t as well...

If you're able too, you can try something like heating it up really well with soldering iron or butane torch and take a flathead screwdriver that will fit in the grub head where there are still some edges very snugly. Then try to muscle and back it out. Maybe create a couple new edges with a tiny file, I don't think you'll be able to save the pinion so you can file into the gear to help to create deep enough channels for your tool to grab... It can be a lil meticulous, ?

Otherwise maybe something like this could help so you can try and save the motor post and motor...

Well, I thought about buying the kit, but I looked down and there was already a power drill in my hand?.problem solved. Another question, (sorry if I'm bugging you with all these!) Who should I go through for pinions? I'd like to toy around with a 21/22 . Thanks again man!! You have been immensely helpful and patient?

Shyt my bad!!

You are never a bother! I'm just glad I can help!! Robinson Racing, Hot Racing, Tekno are good priced and quality brands. Hate saying it lol, you can find a few higher teeth pinions through Traxxas. I just picked up and 34t and 36t pinion from ebay. Sagacustomsrc is going to be your one stop shop, best quality and usually in stock. They are going to the be the most expensive though!

Had a great run today with the hoons silvers. They do wear slightly less than whites, but the drifting is almost comical! I was giggling the entire pack! Thanks for the gearing info!
