So, after a week long of polishing, I'm getting the Talion reassembled. Like the polished look for now. Once I get the body and paint figured out, I will more than likely anodize all of the aluminum.
I will continue posting updates once I get the VH shock towers, body, and paint. For now, it is looking really nice.

Front shocks are on. Need to clean up the threading some more, but thinking about leaving because these are getting anodized in the near future. Rear shocks.....well i screwed up. While buffing one of them, I had the lower threads in the vice. Needless to say pilishing creates heat. Heat will make metal... especially aluminum....soft. New rear bodies wont be here until Friday. Oh well, lesson learned

@Silomatic nice work on the aluminum. I've always been a fan of the raw aluminum myself. Now you just need a set of those @Voltage Hobbies shock mounts. :D
Yup, just need to order them. Kenny knows its coming lol. Picked up the steering rack last week. Would love it if I could swap out all of the cheap aluminum on this thing.

Looks awesome. My only concern is that without the anodising to protect it, does the alu become more prone to corrosion/ staining?

Meh, pretty sure the amount of polishing I did put a good enough seal on the parts. I didnt bother with any kind of chemical seal because these parts will be getting anodized once i decide on which body I'm getting and what colors Im painting it.
Like I said though, I read that if the polishing is done correctly, it will hold up for a long time. I scratched some of the parts multiple times while polishing with the dremel. It took 10-15 rpm to put the scratch in the part. Dropping them multiple times and having the parts rolling around on a filthy work bench yeilded 0 scratchs. Biggest issue....fingerprints lol

Got the rear shock bodies in. Polished one up, built the rears and installed. Only a few more things to complete!
