Was curious how the Hobbystar V2 Motors have been working out for you?

Was looking around the 2kV range.
4268kV / 4274kV / 4282kV

If they are anything like the latest gen motors from Hobbywing that would be nice. I am told they run cooler and more efficient.

I have a 4282kV from them but have not done the project to install it
Let us know what you think . I was looking at the 4268's as well.

I have done some searching but not turning up much for the V2's.

I have a Leopard 4082 2000kv (also on RCJuice) and the differences with the Hobbystar are small:
- Hobbystar 3400W vs 3500W Leopard
- Hobbystar 470 grams vs 485 grams (usually heavier is an indicator of more power, which is in line with the 3500W, although 3% is negligeable for bashing)
- Hobbystar 6.5mm connectors vs 4mm
- Hobbystar M3 and M4 mounting holes vs only M3 (I tapped two M3 hole to M4; pretty easy to do)

In both I'd recommend (hybrid) ceramic bearings.
FYI Arrma's stock esc can handle a 4082, but a better one (e.g. Max6) wakes it up even more.;)

I got the 4274 2025kv in my hobao hyper 7 brushless conversion 6s. Runs great. Lots of power given the weight of the buggy. Pops wheelie on demand.
