The centre drive shaft and slipper clutch cover weld together, due to pebbles getting stuck and creating friction.

I am considering to drive without this cover, because the added value seems limited to me.
Do people drive without these covers?
 
ARA310874? Looks like it has the same dove tails on the bottom.

If it's just to make it look pretty, it won't matter. If it's part of the mount I would be careful with it because it's structural.

Mine did the same thing on my big rock...
I just run it without it. No issues yet.
I bought 3 new center shafts and none of them had it so I gave up caring. All that part is is like a dust shield I'm pretty sure.
