I'm looking to put a new body on my Senton 3s 4x4.

I'm looking at this body.
Pro-Line puts this in a category for (Arrma Senton 4x4) so I'm assuming it will bolt on with no mods.

Length:
21" (533mm)
Width:
9.6" (244mm)
Height:
5.8" (147mm)
Wheelbase:
12.6" (320mm)

I just measured the stock body and it is 10 1/4 inches, concerned that the Pro-Line indicates 9.6" body width.

I've also looked at the following and since I'm new to the hobby I'm reaching out to verify this will fit. I'm aware I might have to do some modifications for the mounting holes but need to know if the overall width and length works.

Compare vehicle specs here for perfect measurements. All Arrma trucks at the link can be researched and these specs include details to fit aftermarket bodies.

The Senton specifically is here:

I won't comment on the details of the Senton because I don't have one and don't want to steer you wrong. I do hope to share the tools that can help though. In my experience, if we get "pretty close" / maybe within 3/4 inch or so, we should be able to fit it. Often times they aren't plug and play but easy enough with some slight mods to body mounts if they aren't. Some here have used ProLine extended mounts and may need to be installed in ways that aren't quick and bolt-on but they'll work in the end. I don't want to assume too much but don't be afraid to think out of the box and make easy modifications as necessary. What's awesome about Arrma and all of our hobby grade vehicles is if we make a mistake, all parts can be replaced for cheap.
Hope it works out for you.

The illusion body is for speed running only

Got it.

Very cool! Thanks for the insights and also suggestions. I'll make sure to look at the extended mounts. I'm okay with making minor mods and also excited about doing so since I feel that is part of the fun. I'm hooked. :)

That looks great! Nice work.

How does it fit with the side guards and the rear bumper?
It fits perfectly, might need to do a little wheel well trimming after testing suspension travel.

UPDATE:
I've started the project using the body I referenced earlier.

Here is where I'm at.
I still need to apply all of the decals to make it an Ivan Stewart look-alike.

Obviously missing the tired mounted and other details. At least the color scheme is close.

Looks good, nice fit ? how much? I want one for a nice body while I smash the factory one into the ground.

Basically, it is 3 cans of paint, body, decals, and custom decals. And of course your time.
Obviously the paint is hard to source based on the exporting issues.

Tamiya paint (White, Red, Black) - purchased white and red on eBay first.
PAINT: $21.00 total plus shipping
Tamiya Polycarbonate PS-57 Pearl White Spray Paint 86057
Tamiya Polycarbonate Red Spray Paint PS-2
Found the black on RC Planet and noticed they also have the other colors.

BODY: $43.95 plus shipping
Pro-Line Chevy® Silverado™ 1500 short course clear body

DECALS: $22.00 (includes shipping)
1/10TH SHORT COURSE TRUCK - MCI TOYOTA DECALS - Default Title (D#J8EM500)

I need to produce my own yellow and orange decals since I did not want to paint the stripes. Although it might look better painted I will opt to use decals. I have not added any decals yet, so we shall see.

BTW- The MCI Toyota decals were the most difficult to locate and I'm extremely happy I did as I was going to custom design/print them. Thankfully, I'm a graphic designer and have the skills. Well, now a User Experience Designer but either way, capable of designing and producing anything I need.
