Outcast Cool your HOT 8S motor!

Hey guys, so this mostly pertains to the older generations of Hobbywing motors, as they are known for running hot. The newer generation motors run much cooler, but you still may want some fans on it. The 10mm thick fans break on me often, so I’ve switched to these 40x20’s with dual ball bearing for just over $10. It’s a great deal for 2 fans, my motor is super cool even after a full session of almost full throttle, and I haven’t broken one yet. Check it out!

Check out the ones I linked, they’re Winsinn. I use that brand on my 3D printers too. Cheap and reliable brand.

I've had good results with that brand too.
My K8S has the Firma smooth can w/ finned sleeve. So when the time inevitably comes, I'll be buying some Winsinn's for sure! I can't justify the fancy aluminum fans, haven't lasted any longer than plastic for me.

Agreed! The only part that was aluminum was the shell, the plastic blades broke just like the rest of them. I almost went 40x28. 40x20 seems to do the job just fine, though.
