Direct power to steering servo

As stated. Looking to see if anyone is running a smaller lipo battery to directly run a steering servo.
Currently have a senton 3s blx. Srx300 receiver and savox SW-0231mg servo

That Savox servo says it can operate only to 6v which is what your escs BEC puts out. There's no real benefit from running an external power source with that servo. If you get another servo that can operate at a voltage higher than 6v then look at getting an external BEC to regulate the lipo voltage to power the servo.

Yes some people do... on 2s there really isn't a gain from it to be had just bashing.
