It could be more likely the drivetrain has broken in then the motor. If any of the gears in your diffs or your spur/pinion, heck even the bearings were a bit tight it would feel more responsive once they all wore in a bit.
Prezactly. Mechanical things requiring a breaking in period, that I can understand. Electrical components...not so much.

Brushed motors require break in so the brushes can form properly to the armature and make complete contact. The brushes will wear in properly.

Brushless motors have no contact points so nothing to break in.

A lot of people like to run their new lipos to 50% for 3 cycles or so. I’ve always done this. You can see a performance rise after the 3rd cycle. This can be viewed via data logging over the cycles.
