I only did this to test the car and to make sure it all worked correctly before I remove the motor and esc and some other bits..

I'm going to get told off I know, but I only posted this to show what you should NEVER do..!!!

Man I use qs8 to ec5 adapters all the time. Never had a single issue and I will continue to do it

If you were taping wires together I might be concerned. I read somewhere that the plugs have less resistance than the wires. You've just improved the efficacy of your system.

I'm with you on that one plug is enough, I still like your solution.

Ia a single adapter like this the issue or is it multiple adapters or is it just frowned upon in general?

I am guilty of using adapters, but I’ve never had an issue.
