So it looks like the way stock mounting holes are currently will force the metal clips to dig into the raised portion of the hood..

Do you want to realign the holes to be facing Front to Rear so it won't do that?

Or I can have a set of the facing the traditional way and another set (that's up higher) turned the other way.. on the same post.

Let me know what you think about that.

Is it possible to have both?

Is it possible to have both?

Sure.
I can make that happen.

Give me a little bit and I'll whip up the drafts for you to review.

I think printing that in TPU with 100% infill would work just fine. TPU Layer adhesion is crazy strong.

Don't rush me!

I see what you are saying, but I need it more like this. The black ring where the circle shape is, is where the body sits now. What I need is, the body to fit further down the post. By the red circle shape. As @Tex Koder stated above, like an extended piece of the head. For me, its not the length of the post, but the positioning of the 'ring'. Or more specifically, that cross piece will be further down the post.

While that does solve the issue, kinda of. The next issue I have is that the holes for the pins, do not line up. Meaning I would have to modify the body more. I really don't want to cut this thing up more.

Tex,
The measurement from the top of the cross piece to the top of the post, should measure out to about 22mm. (a little more won't hurt...lol) The extra length would be wiggle room. Hole wise, 2 should be more than enough. (above the cross)

I was thinking that you could make 3 different types.

1 set extended head
1 set holes facing forward
1 set of both - extended head & facing forward

Each set would consist of 4 body posts.

Rough Drafts-

Extended: 22mm from top of cross to tip , Double mounting holes - facing Forward.

I run the PL bash Armor body for my K6s. And all I needed to do was enlarge the OE body post holes. This will work. Yeah this body is rather thick PET plastic.
Dam thing is indestructable for sure. I was eating the OE thin Kraton bodies left and right. No more. The PL armor body wont break.

I use a piece of kydex to reinforce the lexan around body mount holes so it ends up being thick. I ended up snipping the nub off the end of the body post, drilling a hole into the center, and screwing a 16mm M4 hex stud in so I can use plastic thumbnuts.

That's a good idea!
Just make the head posts whatever Custom Length you need with the center Already for the M4 Hex instead.

Very nice I know nothing about 3D printing

What ever you want to know just ask.

And I have most of what I use listed under my Build Thread.. subchaptered under 3D hardware & software

Check it out whenever you have some free time. 😁🤘
