Funny story... that's my differential degreasing pot, which I pinched off my daughter. It has the skull and crossbones on it, because otherwise it gets washed up and she ends up eating out of it... not a great plan!

So, next update. Front end now attached and completed. A few nice touches: there's there's very small shim which goes onto the steering post before the bearings, servo saver is "elastomer" not a spring (the blue stuff), there are spacers for the steering rod connections with the finest of tolerances, the drive shaft into the front diff indrive has a small condom, the body post has a tiny nipple to seat it into the top plate properly! Totally glorious building

So, this is the end of the initial phase. Mechanical build completed. Electronics are all ordered so I will update further as parts arrive!

Did some painting. Top fin and side intakes were supposed to be neon yellow. I thought backing with black was a good idea. Wasn't. The flip paint looks pretty cool though imo!

Took a while but electronics package is in. First run tomorrow, eeeek

• Servo: AGF A77BHM (18kg/[email protected])
• Esc: Hobbywing XR8 Pro G2 (200A/4s) - you'll notice I've put a better fan in place!
• Motor: Hobbywing XERUN 4274 G3 (2250kv) - initially ordered a TP 4060 but was too big because of the offset diff at the rear. Have other uses for it though
• Radio: Noble NB4
• Tyres: Running some badlands for now, have some blockades too to try
• Battery: have some 4s CNHLs to try out but also a Gens(yes, I know they are spammers)ace 6550 4s LIHV.
