Right-o, diffs all assembled! Pics below - flanged bearings is a nice touch, interestingly no shims behind the small gears. Have decided on the optional shims. Buttery smooth but light oils out the bag; 7k front and centre, 4k rear. Scales not accurate enough so eyeballed diff oil levels lol.

Got some turnbuckles done pre-work. Nice touch here - the normal thread side has a notch so you don't have to faff to work out which way to turn it!

Front bulkhead all built out. First couple of issues - a flanged tube for the steering caster was bent out of the pack, set screw for a sway bar won't screw all the way in and one of the screws for the suspension was a random stainless steel number... however, its coming together:)

Coming along nicely!
The engineering difference in the high end race RCs is always so evident when you look at them up close.
Agreed, it is a beautiful thing to work on! All of the aluminium parts - towers, casters, shocks etc... beautiful to touch!

It's looking real good, as others have said these kits are top notch quality..!!👍🏼
If it were me though, I would have bought a Tekno 😉 my MT410 kit was flawless from start to finish..

I've got to ask, what are you going to be using it for, bashing or racing ???

(Soft) bashing initially with a view to some racing. Was split between this and the tekno eb... decided losi in the end! Worked out what the random stainless screw was - reverse threaded, which solved the issue of the screw seating too. So my only issue so far is the bent flange for the c hub.
Am now about 2/3 through rear bulkhead. Wanted to share a few shots of the interesting rear diff with the upside down crown gear. I followed the shimming guide in the manual (4 in total) but was binding a bit so took out one of the 0.1mm shims and it is smooth as! Highlighting another nice touch - spacers on the diff pinion.

Had a busy day today entertaining small people and zoo tomorrow, so progress disappointing. Managed to get the chassis (centre) done, just wanted to show the "scissor" mechanism which holds the motor - very cool. Rubber o rings slot into the internal grooves, to snug the motor in and provide cushioning.

This kit looks very high end the more I see it, even more so than my Tekno..!! 😉

I've never seen a bulkhead like that before with the output offset 🤔

Out at the safari park at the moment but will post the exploded View from the manual, clever stuff! My tiny dog is facing off a rhino!
