Thanks, I’m impatiently waiting for the mini hoons. Good idea with the studs tho.

Thanks buddy!
Hey man, what ridge behind which bearing did you file? I’m very curious, having five 3s rigs and never thought this one out. Thanks bud!More progress on the minor infraction. Front and rear diffs complete, for now..
Started with the rear, wanted to get that grease out and some actual diff fluid in there. View attachment 197457
Not much grease in there..

Used a pick to clean the majority out.

All clean and topped off with 10k.

Mesh was a bit tight, had to file the ridge off behind the bearing on the back of the ring gear to free it up.

Time for the front now.
View attachment 197467
Not much fluid in there either!

Oh well.. cleaned it up, and topped it off with 10k also. Glad I checked it tho, I was just gonna let it be, cause it’s supposed to have 10k in there already..
Had to file the ridge behind the bearing on this one too. Mesh was crazy tight!
Front reinstalled and greased, now I should probably check the shocks. Who knows if those have enough fluid in them.

I gotta say, these 3s rigs are pretty easy to work on.
Wish I had a better picture.. but it’s on the back side of the ring gear. There is a little ridge behind the bearing that I filed down flush with the rest of the back side of the ring gear. Doing this opened up the gear mesh a bit. Hopefully that makes sense…Hey man, what ridge behind which bearing did you file? I’m very curious, having five 3s rigs and never thought this one out.
