On a serious note inside my RC boat the space is very tight and sometimes I use needle nose pliers but it wears the straps quicker.Apparently.
I get rid of the clips altogether. I never use them.move the straps clip (for lack of a better word) to the side of the battery box.
Nope, not missing anything. They just suck, tall side gaurds on the trucks doesn't help either. I just replaced the straps with standard type. Punching a hole through the straps near the ends and putting zip ties throught them helps. Plus, the can't slip out of the buckle with the zip ties installed. I hate fishing the straps through the buckles when I'm all jacked up to bash!!
