Hey everybody!

Starting my build thread to get in on that spicy 5 year giveaway goodness!

As it sits I have a K4S that’s down for a lost pip pin and flange nut after the decided to fling off after about two hours of running, so the most logical place to start upgrades was the Hot Racing 10 mm spacer with 17 mm hexes. Ordered a set I found down south on eBay and they will be in Monday!

Other than that, I run a set of Spektrum 2S 50C Lipos and stock everything else... for now!

Till next week!

Today was a good day! My HR hexes came in! Super easy to install. Slip the dowel rod in, 10mm adapter, blue loctite then barrel nut, tire, 17mm nut, repeat x4. I will say they seem to have a small amount of extra end play over the stock hexes, as noted in the pictures. That being said, I’ll have to give y’all an update on steering/driveability tomorrow after the threadlocker sets fully. Not gonna risk losing another wheel mid run, lol!

Whats next?

Looks like the hexes aren't on quite all the way. The pins should seat all the way in.

Yes, thanks for reminding me! I checked the stock pins against the HR pins and the HR pins are like 1mm shorter. The stock pins will not work with the adapters apparently!

Noob lesson learned, after any break dig deep around the whole rig...

When the flange nut let loose the rear hub hit. I thought the small amount of wear was all that had happened. Turns out that the rear arm snapped at the attachment point. Only realized when it was hard to align on the test run with the new hex adapters...

Lesson learned.

Quick and easy swap today when the rear RPM A-arms came in! Fronts should be in tomorrow, but I’m stoked the replacements for my busted tears came in first so we can stop babying her and get back to bashing around the neighborhood!

New RPM stickers are a nice touch too!
