Kraton Scratch build Kraton 6s

Hey all. Here is my 1st thread on the progress of my scratch build Kraton 6s. Pretty much all aftermarket parts. Just getting back into RC after a long time. I was previously into Nitro (HPI savage), so this is a nice project to get back into RC, and learning and tinkering along the way.

Build is coming along slowly as I'm getting parts here and there. Probably should've got a donor car to begin with, but that boat has long sailed, so going to stick with my current plan.

Still early stages, but on display so far
- Scorched Ti chassis
- Scorched bulk head, slight customisation using carbon fiber and gold screws
- Spektrum 1250kv 22 pinion
- Firma 160 custom mounted on ADU ESC plate
- ADU motor and diff mount
- Scorched carbon servo mount and JX 35kg servo
- RCAWD centre diff

I did something very similar a few months ago. I built mine to be as light as possible, and it turned out to be an incredible truck. It looks like you’re definitely on the right track to build an awesome rig too. Keep us posted on your progress!

Thanks. This one will be a bit of a heavy pig. I'm opting to titanium where I can to save some weight.

Did some more shock protection for the ESC. One layer of silicon like material underneath the mounting plate and another set underneath the ESC itself.

Rear end slowly coming together. Lights, drilled top shock tower hole to 4mm to strengthen wing mount. Waiting for more parts to arrive.

Spent a bit of time putting the bits and pieces together. It's 99% complete other than needing a new servo and waiting on the shock mount bushing.
