Hello first of all, I'm new to the arrma family and also to this forum.

Three weeks ago I got my fancy red mojave:love: and have been driving it almost every day since then.
Yesterday a friend and I were jumping down some stairs in the city.

During a very unfortunate jump, the mojave got stuck on a step with its rear bumper/skid plate and did a front flip.

The bottom part of the rear bumper came off:
The head of one of the two screws holding the bumper broke off and the bumper simply slipped over the other one.
Now there is a screw thread in the differential.

And now the question: How do I reinstall the bumper?

Can I get that screw thread out of there or do i have to buy a new differential casing to get it running again?
And is there a way to better protect the whole rear chassis against something like this?

It's not just a matter of how to reattach your bumper - those four screws are all that hold the diff housing to your chassis. This is something you want to solve.

New diff housings are pretty cheap, or you can buy the whole diff assembly on JennysRC for $40.

Welcome to the forum! You need to look for a better rear skid plate. As for the Diff. housing you will need to go to jenny's for a new one.

The skid plate into chassis screws clamping the bulkhead backed out and now the bulkhead threads have been compromised. If you're not experienced with thread inserts/helicals you're going to need a new bulkhead.

Sounds like fun ;)

so just changing the diff housing is just the beginning?

And for the diffs:
That's the part i need, right?

Because I live in Germany, the complete diff from JennysRC would cost 50 dollars. But just the case would do the job too, right?

And as for the skid plate, I only found this here:

Would that work or do you have a better idea?

Welcome to the forum, and, nice job!!🤘
While it's possible (maybe) to get the screw out, I think it wisest to either replace the housing or complete rear diff assembly. That housing is definitely compromised, even if you do get the broken screw out. The gearbox case set is $12. Some run the aluminum variations, I just stick with plastic myself. Buy 2, so you have a spare, LOL.

Solid plan especially bashing concrete/asphalt which is what sounded fun ;)

After installation into composite as you get more familiar with torquing m3 and small screws without stripping, just check it periodically to make sure bashing vibrations aren't loosening them up (y)

I made some skids from aluminum for my Mojo a few years back. I didn't rip off the plastic skid off as you did, but rather the plastic was nearly worn through in pretty short order. So I made some. Obviously if the aluminium skid catches something, the screws can still break off or rip out of the gearbox..
